Assuming that Venezuela is truly beautiful, and not properly advertised, it is remembered only for planes that crashed a few years ago (as if planes fell every day -.-). My fiancee and I arrived in Caracas on August 1, 2016 and we spent 4 days on the Canaima tour with excursions in the middle of nature then we went 9 days to the Posada Macondo in Los Roques. Divine welcome by the Macondo staff with Ricardo waiting for us from the landing strip and then Alessandro in Posada, a simply splendid person! Always available and condescending in everything, especially super nice! Super treatment like the whole holiday is what a holiday !!! Sea as in all the photos you see, exceptional .. I invite anyone to go to Venezuela, believe me .. the important thing is that you have your holiday organized well by trusted people! Thank you very much!

At Posada Macondo we felt at home. Alessandro and Ricardo were very good … The cook is a standing ovation !!! Plan to put on a few pounds !!! And then there is the little Uma wagging its tail, always looking for cuddles !!! Good guys, keep it up !!!

We were in Los Roques – Posada Macondo 3 years ago – a week of TRUE vacation thanks to Alessandro and all the people who work at Posada Macondo. Fantastic welcome combined with courtesy and professionalism .. Every evening it was decided which island of the Los Roques Archipelago to go the next day: all incredible places .. above all Sebastopol … and then Uma, a fantastic black labrador … week that will remain in our hearts !! We went to Los Roques with a couple of friends in early May. When you arrive you seem to be out of this world. There is no luxury but there is the courtesy and kindness of every person you meet. The Posada Macondo is very welcoming and Alessandro and his staff are always attentive to grasping your smallest needs. The environment is very familiar, the superb cuisine: your every wish is fulfilled without even asking. A real pleasant surprise: I recommend to those seeking relaxation this archipelago that offers you an enchanted sea and wonderful places.

In Los Roques everything is very simple, almost Spartan and so is the Posada: an entrance with the kitchen on one side and the large dining table on the other, a flower bed with seating beside it, the open corridor which the rooms overlook. The rooms are basic with bathroom (there is no wardrobe, but small brick shelves with few hangers). You enter posada and it’s like entering home: kindness, courtesy and sympathy. Fantastic and abundant food (especially with the supply problems they have), satisfying every request. The current comes and goes in the island, but the posada has an emergency electricity generator.

I came back from just one day, and I already miss you… What can I say… you made me spend some wonderful days… Ricardo, always present, punctual and caring… the wonderful cook, who with his delicacies, every day, and especially in the evening, surprised me for what he was able to create with simplicity, but with a unique kindness… and then she… Sonia… unique person… always kind, helpful, caring… with her professionalism she manages to make everything work perfectly, despite the problems, that crosses Venezuela right now… thanks… you managed to make me feel at home, in the Posada Macondo… thanks also to Alessandro, for his patience and availability… and finally, thanks to this paradise of Venezuelan land, it is impossible to describe the emotions try in front of the colors of this sea… I will come back, is a promise … ❤️

In Los Roques, Posada Macondo deserves to be recommended for its availability, the caring of its guests and the attention paid to them. All charters by boat to the other islands and all activities are handled and organized by the staff of the Posada who begins his “service” on the airfield runway by taking charge of the suitcases.
The food is of a good standard and if its rooms are small, they are well kept. The whole place is pleasantly decorated with plants and shells, so our opinion is positive in all respects.
To underline for this trip the excellent care of the Vamos agency and the efficiency of their correspondent Peter on arrival and departure ensuring perfect safety when traveling from the airport to the hotel. In summary, Vamos’ journey to Posada MACONDO gave us 10 unforgettable days in Los Roques and all its paradisiacal islands.

Let’s start by saying that the Los Roques archipelago is a true paradise on earth, the sea, the beaches and the climate are fantastic and there is no danger or source of concern in coming here. So we recommend this destination to anyone who will leave you with an unforgettable memory. Once you have chosen this destination, the Posada Macondo is definitely the ideal place to stay. It’s all just perfect! First of all the owners and the staff: nice and very helpful people to help you and advise you on anything, both before departure and during your stay; the fantastic cuisine, with excellent meals prepared every day with fresh and quality products and every day with different menus (even in the lunch boxes for the beach you will always find a rich fresh meal and no sandwiches as they do in other Posadas); the rooms are really nice, comfortable and always clean. In short, you will not have to worry about anything, every aspect will be taken care of by them in detail.

We chose this small posada with only 6 rooms based on TripAdvisor recommendations and we were not disappointed. Rather. Each day of our 13-day stay offered new surprises in the form of very well-prepared and delicious meals, always served with a smile in a relaxed home atmosphere. Whether you want to go fishing or spend the day on the beach, the cooler box with lunch and water is brought to Ricardo’s boat and picked up again on the way back. What a service! All the staff are exceptional and this posada deserves the warmest advice. The prices are extremely reasonable.
We got on well with English but we recommend language skills as the staff members speak only a little English

If you are looking for luxury, maybe Venezuela is not the right destination nowadays, but if you are looking for relaxation, enchanting sea, friendly and nice people, amazing food and lots of tranquility, at Posada Macondo you can find all this. We stayed eight days and will remember them for a long time. Ale and his staff are fantastic.

We were in Los Roques from August 20 to 26 … Wonderful place, never seen a sea and similar beaches … FANTASTIC … Actually we landed a little hesitant not knowing what would be expected … Then, however as soon as Ricardo met us he shouted: “Macondo, Macondo” then we realized that we had come to the exact place to enjoy a week of relaxation by the sea … Arriving in posada, Ale welcomed us immediately with a smile and a look that made us feel immediately at home … Clean rooms, small but efficient bathroom … Dinners, lunches and breakfasts to burst, fabulous, varied and very abundant cuisine … There is only to thank these guys who with their presence, professionalism and their spirit have made this stay in this heavenly place unforgettable … Thank you very much for everything … Ciao Ale … Ciaoooo Ricardo …
